Ladybug Life Cycle

My weeping birch has been a magnet for aphids and white flies this year so it's not surprising that it's become the perfect lovenest (as shown below) and nursery for ladybugs.  Over the last several weeks I've been able to see and show my girls their complete life cycle, which is pretty cool, considering that it's the first time *I* am seeing the ladybug in a different form as well!
